As the departments focus more on super specialization, the training of undergraduates and post graduates has been hampered in some way. There is a dire need to focus on General surgery to teach basic surgical skills and subjects which are very important for the clinical practice in the rural communities. This department will also provide service to the patients who come with general surgery diseases which have been occasionally ignored due to confusion amongst the forte of the specialty departments. In this regard, the department will fulfil the void in both academics and services in the institute.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of the Department is to foster an environment for the optimal education of
