COPE 2082: Summary Report

Clinically Oriented Practice Examination (COPE) 2082 was a successful competency-based academic initiative organized by the Department of General Surgery at Maharajgunj Medical Campus, Institute of Medicine. The program was specifically designed for third-year postgraduate surgical residents to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical clinical application.

There were about 70 participants from 18 different institutions from all over the country, under Kathmandu University, Tribhuvan University, NAMS, PAHS and Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences. There were two participants from Bhutan form the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan is a medical university located in Thimphu and one from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.

There were faculties from Maharajgunj Medical Campus (MMC), Department of General Surgery, Department of Urosurgery and Renal Transplant, Department of Plastic Surgery and Burns, Department of Neurosurgery from the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center.
