Professor Geha Raj Dahal, HOD

Prof. Dr. Geha Raj Dahal
is a prominent Consultant Pediatric Surgeon and academician in Nepal. He currently serves as a Professor at Department of General Surgery, Tribhuvan University within the Institute of Medicine (IOM).
Clinical and Academic Roles
Department of Pediatric Surgery: He is a key faculty member and practitioner at the Maharajgunj Medical Campus and Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH).
HOD/Subject Committee: He serves as a member of the Subject Committee at the Institute of Medicine, influencing the curriculum and standards for surgical education in Nepal.

Specialization: His expertise includes managing complex pediatric conditions, such as neonatal intestinal obstruction and congenital anomalies.
Education: He holds MBBS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees.

Professor Prasan Bir Singh Kansakar

Professor Bikal Ghimire

Dr. Bikal Ghimire is a Consultant Surgical Gastroenterologist and Professor affiliated with the Institute of Medicine (IOM), Maharajgunj Medical Campus, under Tribhuvan University in Nepal. He was recently appointed as the Head of the IT Department at the IOM in March 2025. He is also the immediate Vice President of the ‘Society of Surgeons of Nepal’ and also served as the General Secretary of the Society in the past.
